Clay FUNdamentals
Miniatures
Here's a couple of artifacts I did for an old issue of
Nutshell News. Don't ask me what year - it was a long time ago. I call it a "Bevodon"
because it has been known to fly into a rage when it can't get it's native prey - chocolate.
Hum - hard to see. The bowl on the left is filled with Christmas cookies,
and the bowl on the right is filled with Christmas 'cut-rock' and ribbon candy. Each piece
of candy is about 1/16" in dia, and yes, has the traditional pictures on them. Living proof
that artists are "one taco short of a combo platter."
Oh, I am SO proud of this one! It's an authentic (except
for size) reproduction of a 4th century Jin Dynasty Chinese Yueyao chamber pot! Well, haven't
YOU always wanted one?
I love fish. I love to eat fish, fish for fish, and fish
are my favorite pets. So here are some in-scale game fish.
Japanese food is my absolute favorite. I'm a true sushivore. I'd give
up chocolate before I gave up sushi. Here's a miniature tribute to the perfect dinner.
Table is wood, bonsaii is bits of this and that, food and plates are made
from polymer clay and resin.
Close up - sushi, kobe beef, miso soup, green tea ice cream, and saki.
Please don't write and tell me how un-authentic it is - it's just stuff I love to eat.
Except the saki - can't handle saki. But the decanters are sooooo cute!
